OtherWorlds: How to Imagine, Paint and Create Epic Scenes of Fantasy
by Tom Kidd
$26.99

I’m one of those semi-creative people, or at least I pretend to be.  I love to draw, mainly fantasy characters.  One thing that has eluded my abilities to do is paint.

OtherWorlds opens up the world of painting to anyone who fiercely wishes to learn.  Tom Kidd is an amazing artist with an eye for detail and creating astonishingly beautiful works.  This book shows a variety of his fantastic paintings and explains to you how you can make smiliar pieces of work.

Tom Kidd has been a top award-winning fantasy artist for 20+ years, known for his colorful palette and unique fantasy worlds. He’s been featured in many volumes of Spectrum: The Best in Contemporary Fantasy Art and has won many awards. He has exhibited at many museums and provided conceptual and design work for companies such as Disney and American Express.

There’s different sections on lighting, how colors effect mood, and techniques for texture, among other things, to help you learn.  If you love fantasy and have always wanted to learn how to paint.  I completely suggest this book.  Even if you don’t want to paingt, but have an interest in fantasy and need inspriation, you should still get it.

I cannot stress how wonderful the artwork is in this book.  It’s fun to just page through and look at the art.

I have one copy of OtherWorlds to giveaway.
