I will be the first one to admit that the dental hygienist is not on my favorite people to visit list. That being said, because of the lack of dental insurance I had when I was a young adult and subsequent teeth cleaning scaling I had because I had not visited the dentist in a couple of years, I now take my family’s oral health care very seriously.

As my regular readers know, I review a number of different brands on my site for all different kinds of products, but the brands I trust completely and am very loyal to for healthy teeth is Crest and Oral-B.

I’ve been fortunate to review a number of the products in their product line ups and these brands are always coming out with new ways and products to help us keep our teeth and gums healthy between dental visits.

Earlier this month we had our bi-annual teeth cleaning appointments. I checked in on Foursquare at our dentist’s office at my last appointment and this is what I put in my status:

Truly, that’s how I feel every six months! Here’s the thing though, the better care I take of my teeth between dental visits – the less arduous the visits are. The new Crest and Oral-B Pro-Health Plaque Control line of products is hopefully going to help me keep that ‘dentist-clean’ feeling for a lot longer than a couple of days.

I’ve committed to using the Plaque Control line for a minimum of six weeks, share my thoughts on the products with you, and whether I notice a difference in how this regimen has kept my teeth clean and healthy when using them.
