Anyone who knows me knows I love Disney, and if I had to compare myself to any Disney character it would be Tinker Bell. Tiny and sassy, we’re two of a kind!
I’m not a big cosmetics wearer, at least not for everyday wear. So when I do wear cosmetics, I do subtle, and the new PixiGlow line inspired by Tinker Bell by Pixi Cosmetics is right up my alley.
This new line of cosmetics has a number of products in the line.
The Fairy Face Palette includes five different eye shadows and five lip colors, brushes to apply and a mirror. The eye and lip color palettes actually slide out to reveal 3 blusher colors as well. The colors are more along a natural line ranging from pinks and mauves to plums and browns, all of which I liked quite well. The case closes up tight, I actually found it a bit difficult to open, but I’d prefer that it is sealed properly than to find cosmetic powders and lip color all over my bag!
I am actually quite enamored by the Straight On Till Morning Eye Liner. I usually use a black or dark brown liquid liner on my face as for some reason pencil liners tend to run on me. Maybe it’s the chemical composition of my skin, or perhaps I perspire under my eyes, but if I put pencil liner on in the morning, it’s generally half way down my cheeks by mid afternoon.
This eye liner though is amazing. It’s a “2nd Star Twinkle-Deep golden green” and I love the beautiful golden flecks it has with the color. It lasted all day. No running down my face.
For the top of my lids I’ve been using the Catching Shadows Crayon. This is a nude color, perfect for highlighting your lids. It goes on smooth and I like the subtlety of the color with just a hint of shimmer.
And because every girl really needs some “Fairy Dust” – the PixiGlow line has that too! This is a powder that you can apply on your lids or really anywhere else on your body. I have used it on my cheeks just for a little bit of luster.
Even the littlest girls in your life will love the PixiGlow Nail Color. Very pink and with some shimmer, this is a girly-girl product if there ever was one!
I’m almost positive creator Petra Strand found some real life fairies and had them put dew drops in the Magic Tink Tint – this gel like crayon will moisturize your lips and go from ‘invisible’ to “Happy Thoughts Pink” which I can’t even describe to you – BECAUSE….it reacts to YOUR lips’ pH level and creates a unique pink color on each person. Inspired by Disney remember…it’s all about the magic!
I think I fell in love with these products as much for their names as for their performance. How can you not want to make up your face with Fairy Dust and Magic Tint?! The products are quality and the colors are gorgeous. They are mid-range price wise costing between $8.00 to $34.00. What a great thing to pop into your teenage daughter’s Easter Basket. The PixiGlow line is available online at Pixibeatuy.com as well as at Target stores nationwide.
You can connect with PixiBeauty on Facebook, Pinterest, and Twitter to keep up with the brand and get more information, as well as hear more from Petra at her blog www.PetraPersonally.blogspot.com.
