I have had the chance to review a variety of Michael Season’s snacks in the past.  They are an extremely innovative company and their newest offerings of Popped Black Bean Crisps fit right into their healthy line of better-for-you snacks.

They come in three flavors; Sea Salt, Nacho & Roasted Red Pepper.

I have never had Black Bean snacks before, so this was a food adventure for me!

I wanted to let you know that Master Lock will be celebrating National Random Acts of Kindness Week (Feb. 13 – 19) with sampling events across the country. Throughout the week, Master Lock will share a bit of kindness by distributing free gym locks at area workout centers to inspire gym-goers to stick to their New Year’s fitness resolutions.

To me, a great way to spend a winter evening, is in the living room with my family watching TV together with a bowl of popcorn and a Coke Zero.  What better TV show to enjoy with that Coca-Cola than Season 11 of American Idol?  It’s only been a few weeks since the season started and already there are favorite contenders for everyone.

This winter has been unusually warm, but living in South Dakota means using long scarves and gloves from November to March.  Because I have Raynaud’s and my hands get unusually cold, I usually extend that season by a month on either end!  What I really was missing though was being able to use my iTouch and iPad and keep my hands warm at the same time.

It seems every time I go out these days and buy something my receipt gets longer and longer. It’s not because I’m buying a lot of things (okay not usually), but I’ve noticed a growing trend that at the end of the receipt there will be a customer satisfaction survey.

Usually they want to know ‘how they did’ and there is a monthly chance to win a gift card to the store.

We have a couple of friends that we look forward to getting together with because they are so much fun to play games with. We’re always playing old favorites or trying out new games when we spend the evening together.
