What makes these granola bars different?  Because of the way they are made they need to be refrigerated.  So rather than with the dry goods, you’re going to find these in the dairy aisle.

I got a sneak peek of these bars when I was at BlogEats last October where I tried the Mixed Berry.  So I already knew how delicious these chewy bars were.

We were sent the Strawberry and Chocolate flavors to try.  But we did a taste test with other bars with my family and the chocolate ones were the favorite.  In the berry ones I like that the sweetness is provided by fruit.  They also come in Peanut Butter and Oatmeal Raisin.

There are five bars in a box.  I wish there was six. Maybe that’s a little OCD of me, but because there are three of us in our family someone has to sacrifice and not get two of them from the box.

Or in a true scenario, my daughter was looking for the chocolate ones in the fridge this morning, and couldn’t find them.  I told her it’s because Dad ate the last one.  “That’s not fair that he got three and I only got two!” (I guess it’s okay that I didn’t get one at all huh?!).  They thought they were terrific.

Each bar includes 5g of protein, 7g of whole grains, and is a good source of vitamin D and fiber.  And of course due to the milk that is equivalent to an 8 oz. glass, 30% of your daily calcium needs as well.

I imagine these will be in my shopping cart next week!  And next time they’re sharing the chocolate ones with me!

Even though they need to be refrigerated they’re an easy snack to pack along in a lunch box or cooler.  Just keep them cool like you would a chilled beverage.
