Quick and easy breakfasts are normal in our home. It’s not because we go any particular place in the mornings, being homeschoolers and a blogger, well home is our school and workplace! But I’m not a morning person, and until I’ve had my first (or second) cup of coffee, I’m not flipping omelets or frying hashbrowns. It’s every man for himself around here in the mornings.

Even though our daughter is nearly 16, she still likes “mini”, partially because of the metal contraptions on her teeth and the elastics that hold them together, but also she still gets a kick out the “cute” factor of ‘mini’ food. So she was all over

Shifting through my e-mails the other day, I saw that I received some correspondence from The Fairy Hobmother. I opened the e-mail hesitantly and with care, because honestly I had visions of a chain letter forwarded from my mother taking my computer over. But after reading said correspondence I have to admit aloud “The Fairy Hobmother is real, and does exist” (in case anyone was really wondering about that truth). And he looks kind of like this:

This past winter and spring have been absolutely amazing weather wise. Here in South Dakota we only had a couple of really cold weeks earlier in the year, and I barely used our flannel sheet print separates because it was too warm.

And now it’s the end of March and EVERYTHING is so green! It makes me excited for the flowers that are going to start breaking through the soil soon. I just hope we don’t get a snow storm yet (because it has been known to happen in April!).

{EAV:c808b927e6330fd1}I’m one of those people that always feels cold. Because of that, I find hot beverages soothing. While I enjoy a cup of tea, cider or hot cocoa, coffee is generally my hot beverage of choice. Mornings, afternoons or evenings, I like me a hot cup of java.

While years ago I could have had a whole pot of caffeinated coffee and hour or so prior to sleeping, these days…not so much.
