We have been waiting SO long for this second movie in the How To Train Your Dragon franchise!  We’re ready to embark on another adventure with Toothless and Hiccup (yes, in our home Toothless gets first billing because remember when our daughter made a Toothless for herself when we couldn’t find one in the store?).

As you can see by the ‘bio’ in my header I’m a bit movie obsessed.  We try and get to the theater once a week.  Usually we hit most of the blockbusters.  This summer though I have a couple of movies on my “must see” list that you either may not have heard of or haven’t gotten the press that others receive.

1. The Fault in Our Stars – My Must See Love Story

With all the fanfare that accompanies a big game you’re probably aware that there is a HUGE soccer event being played out in Brazil later this month. That’s giving many fans a reason to celebrate. Johnson & Johnson and Walgreens are aware that celebrations don’t just need to be about the ‘big’ things, but that families can celebrate every goal this summertime no matter the size.

I woke up last week and realized this is the last summer we have together before we send our daughter into the wild blue yonder.  One more.  Just one last one, before she moves away. 

The weather is heating up and Fruttare Fruit & Juice Bars are a summer treat that you can feel good about indulging in.

When we have guests the last thing I want to do is cook.  I want to be able to spend us much time with our friends or family that I can and not be hiding out in the kitchen cooking or doing dishes.  When my parents and our best friends were here for Amber’s graduation I made it a point to try and have easy fuss free dinners scheduled for those 12 days.  Something that we could all enjoy but would be effortless for me.

We had four extra people visiting who flew in from out of town during our daughter’s high school graduation.  As we drive a Honda CR-V and a VW Jetta, both which only seat five people, I was a bit perturbed that we were going to have to drive both vehicles everywhere the week our guests were here.

STI Drive came to my rescue though and loaned us a 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander SE for the week, which just happens to be a vehicle that seats seven people.

The American Bible Challenge is back for a 3rd season Thursday May 22nd at 8pm/7C on Game Show Network!

THE AMERICAN BIBLE CHALLENGE is a spirited game show that celebrates the Bible and its place in American culture. Bible enthusiasts from all across the country compete in a variety of challenges that put their knowledge of the Good Book to the test. The show’s prizing further reflects the celebration of faith, as teams earn money for the charity of their choice.

It’s kind of funny.  Our daughter and her best friend are alike in so many ways.  This past weekend when she came to celebrate Amber’s graduation with us, the girls were thrilled to be able to go to Medieval Times and Comic Con together.  They were doing the whole fantasy/sci-fi geek out thing, and it was so fun to watch.

At the same time…they are polar opposites.  Strange but true.  Amber is a total indoor, sit at the computer, don’t make me go out in the sunshine or I’ll melt kind of girl.  Where as Megan…she’d camp out all summer long if she could.  She communes with nature.

If you take a peek at the top right hand corner of my blog, you’ll read a little bit about me, and then you’ll see that I’m a World Traveler.  I’ve been to some posh places and to some down right scary ones.  My family tends to be frugal when traveling (which is why we’ve been able to go to all the places we’ve been), and so we’ll only connect online outside the United States if we can get free Wi-Fi.  The thing is, one is always leaving themselves vulnerable when using a public Wi-Fi network.
