Okay all you FarmVille fans out there, (I know some of you have to be as addicted to this game as I am….)  did you notice the new crop that was put out on Monday?  Cascadian Farm has the first official branded (and organic!) crop on FarmVille, Organic Blueberries were released to be planted and harvested!

And…this is a crop that can be mastered!  Alas, this new crop is only going to be around until July 26th, so plow those fields and get planting!

Here’s the details:

Last year I reviewed a really nice family organizer from BusyBodyBook.  It’s a treat to be able to feature them on my blog again this year.  BusyBodyBook Family Planners are the only organizer you’ll need to keep your family running like a well oiled machine this school year.

This planner came with me nearly everywhere the last time I reviewed it.  I organized our school schedule, meals, appointments and activities, and felt well in control of our weekly agenda.  I always had a handle or who was coming or going, what they were eating and what they needed to accomplish their task wherever it was.

I was first introduced to chai through a friend of mine, when we stopped at a coffee shop.  It was a number of years ago, and although I don’t recall exactly how I had it prepared it was delicious.  Now when I walk in the door of a coffee shop, I check to see if they have chai on the menu.

I’m actually a pretty frugal person.  Coffee shop runs are done only on occasion and usually when I do go, I have a gift card to help with the purchase.  Justifying $3.75+ for a small drink is hard to do.  So I’m happy to have found, Oregon Chai, as it will not break my wallet to enjoy a good chai.

Just about this time of the season a few years back I made the discovery of Twin XL Bedding.  Yes I grabbed the wrong package of sheets, instead of a regular twin set, I took a twin xl  off the shelf, only to be a bit surprised at home that it was so much longer than Amber’s mattress!  Now each year when I see the college dorm deals pop up in the bedding department I giggle at my mistake.

Nonetheless there aren’t that many weeks left before those with college bound children will be making their way to the dorms laden with their twin xl bedding and other essentials. 

I have about 5 different kinds of crackers or chips opened at any one time in my cupboard.  We like to have a variety of choices, but with only three of us in the house, it takes a while to get through a bag. It can take us a month or longer to finish any one bag, so even if they are put away with a “chip clip”, by the time we’re done eating them they have a bit of that stale taste to them.

There’s a unique bag seal on the market called a Banana Seal and I had the opportunity to take these seals for a test drive.

In just two days Sheryl Crow’s new album 100 Miles From Memphis will be released on A&M Records.
