Moms Are Free at Medieval Times
In a couple of weeks we are looking forward to doing so many things! Our daughter turned 18 at the end of April and is graduating from high school on the 17th. My parents and my best friend and Amber’s best friend are all coming to celebrate those two occasions.
When Amber was five we went to Orlando for a vacation and we visited Medieval Times. It was such a fun evening, and she even got the chance to be crowned the Queen of Love & Beauty by our section’s knight who ‘won’ the jousting event.
LEGOLAND Discovery Center Dallas/Fort Worth
When my sister came to visit with her family at Christmastime I was excited for obvious reasons. A less obvious one was that we could visit the LEGOLAND Discovery Center at the Grapevine Mills Mall. We’re HUGE Lego lovers in our family, one look at our immense collection ranging from piece meal bricks that are about 40 years old from my husband’s childhood to the Architect series boxes and Star Wars Lego boxes on the closet shelves and it’s kind of evident.
SEA LIFE Aquarium at Grapevine Mills Mall
If you’re looking for an indoor activity to do with the kids in the DFW area of Texas, then SEA LIFE Aquarium at Grapevine Mills Mall is a place to check out. It’s a venue that everyone in the family will enjoy and it’s educational too! With more than 5,000 sea creatures to view it’s an underwater adventure…where you don’t have to get wet!
New Opening in North Dallas of Mama Fu’s Asian House
One of the best things of moving is having new places to explore and new things to see and do. So I was delighted the other day when I was invited to Mama Fu’s Asian House for freshly prepared Asian cuisine on the opening day of their first restaurant in the North Dallas area in Frisco, TX. This is the first of fourteen Mama Fu‘s locations slated to open in Dallas and Collin counties over the coming years, and after tasting the fare, I’m hoping that one opens up closer to my home!
Texas Peeps! Why Are Your Refrigerators So Special?
In the countdown months of our move to Texas, we’ve started to look more seriously at houses that are on the market in the area we’ll be moving to. In the last nine months we’ve looked here and there online, hummed and hawed about specific neighborhoods and suburbs but now that we know there’s a specific time we need to be down there, it’s become a bit more of an intense search – like, I stalk the realtor website twice daily for new listings.
