Blizzie Freezer Products LLC has officially released Blizzie, the instant slushy maker.  this new product is safe, quick and easy to use for all ages. 

All you have to do is drop the non-toxic Blizzie freezer cubes (after freezing them of course!) into the Blizzie cup, fill with your favorite drink, shake it up and in just minutes your drink will turn into a tasty slushy.

 

The Blizzie comes with the 1 cup, 3 reusable freezer cubes (saltwater solution), and a straw that also serves as a spoon.  Once you make your first Blizzie and are ready for another, all you have to do is rinse the cubes in warm water and place them back in the freezer.  Once frozen, you are ready for your next round.

Blizzie works with juices, sodas, energy drinks and much more.

So what did we think?

The resident slushy expert said that “I love the people that invented Blizzie!”

As a parent, I appreciated that my daughter can have a slushy at home in any flavor she wants, pretty much when she wants, and I don’t have to take her to Target or movies to grab one.

I think the purchase of extra freezer cubes is wise, so that you could make a few right away.  While the cup holds about 10 oz. of liquid, it really isn’t that much after the cubes come out.  Just because of the texture of the slushy, some of it clings to the cubes when you take them out too, leaving you with even less in your cup.  You can make about 2 slushies out with the cubes if they are completely frozen when you start.

Despite that, I do think that if your kids (or you!) like slushies it’s a fun little kitchen gadget to have, it doesn’t take up much room, and it’s cheaper in the long run than the gas, the movies and the cost of a slushy at the store!
