Wisk Away Oil Stains

You’ve seen me get out protein stains and carbohydrate stains with Wisk’s new Stain Spectrum Technology, now let’s see how it does on oil stains…shall we?

First let me tell you a bit about oil stains.  Oil stains appear in all shapes and sizes, from your kids’ favorite after school snack (peanut butter on apples) to your favorite salad dressing.  Oils however, aren’t just confined to foods.  In fact your lip gloss is also categorized as an oil stain!

My assignment was to put on some lip gloss and blot my lips on a clean, light colored towel.  GASP!! I mean really who does that?  Notice the shiny tint to my lips?!

Ahhh…I seriously can’t believe I did this.  Trust me it was hard.  When taking off makeup, I only use dark colored washcloths…just in case.  So on the left you see my lip gloss blot.  But wait…what if you have an inquisitive pre-schooler, who forages around your bathroom counter, and decides to do some “painting” with your lip gloss on your hand towel…yeah, I decided to put the lipstick right on the towel and rub it in, crazy I know!

Then I saturated the stains with Wisk, and rubbed it in for about 30 seconds.

Then I rinsed the towel in the sink.  You’ll see that just with the pre-treatment it got the blot stain out completely.  The “painted” stain, is still a bit visible, but hey who washes their towels by hand in real life?  I threw a load of laundry in the washing machine and it is so faint.  Take that oil stain! I didn’t re-scrub or throw stain remover on it or anything, so I think Wisk did a bang up job!  I bet if I treat it again, it will be completely gone.  (Oh yeah and those dark spots on the top of the towel you see?  That’s just my shadow )

My Wisk Beta Blogger time has come to an end, but I’m pretty sure I’ve just begun the laundry experiments in my home.  I’m never lacking stains, and it should be fun to see what other stains Wisk’s Stain Spectrum Technology can eradicate.
