When Life Comes at You Fast…

Have you seen that episode of I Love Lucy where Lucy and Ethel get jobs on a chocolate assembly line?  They have to package the candy in the paper as they pass by on one of those conveyors.  They can’t keep up, and in all hilarity, end up eating the chocolates, and stuffing it in their clothing to keep from getting fired, only to have their manager think they’re doing a good job, because all the chocolate is gone, and so she speeds the conveyor belt up!

Yeah that’s how my life feels sometimes!  With the dishes, the laundry, the homeschooling – just when I think it’s slowing down and I can breathe the conveyor belt of life speeds up!

Online organization works best for me to keep me focused.  Using my Gmail calendar for everyday tasks and appointments that I can sync between my computer and my iTouch works well.  That way whether I’m at my desk or on the go, I know what needs to be done that day and in the week ahead.  If I’m going to be home all day, and have other things to do, I like to print and apply my ‘to do’ list to the kitchen island (which is at the center of our home), so then between the two electronic devices and the printed list I have no excuse to meander from my tasks.

How do you stay organized with everything that needs to get done; work, home, school and play?
