Last August I had blogged about two Sid the Science Kid DVDs, and I’m glad I can share the newest Sid the Science Kid DVD released on May 4th, Weather Kid Sid.
The music on this DVD is great and will have your kids engaged in the learning process.
There are four episodes on this DVD. In Sid’s Rainy Play Date, Sid discovers how clouds make precipitation. Two of the other episodes include the topics of wind and temperature.
Kids don’t like to stand still long enough to let dad or mom put sunscreen on them, but they might put into practice what they learn from Sid on the subject. In the episode Sid’s Special Sunny Dad Day, Sid will explain why sunscreen is a great way to protect their skin from the sun’s rays.
When they’re all done watching, head on over with your children to PBSKIDS.org/sid so they can learn and explore more about sunscreen. Make sure you visit the Print an Activity Station, so they can create a
weather cube.
This is a fabulous DVD to have on the shelf for those rainy days this summer, staying indoors on a dreary day can turn into a fun and educational time.
