VeggieTales Event | Contest

Bob and Larry and the rest of the VeggieTales crew were a staple in our family during our daughter’s growing up years.  At one point we even lived between Bob and Larry (true story! We had a neighbor on one side whose name was Bob and one on the other whose name was Larry!).  We still have VeggieTales traditions in our home even though our ‘baby’ is 18.  Every Christmas we decorate our tree with the VeggieTales Christmas soundtrack accompanying our merry making.  And I still get giddy when I see cute, original VeggieTales things like this ‘CanStruction’ model that was at the Texas State Fair this week.

Because of how much our family was encouraged by VeggieTales over the years, I’m excited to share about a fun VeggieTales event happening this month at Family Christian Stores.

On October 31st, a nationwide event will be held at ALL Family Christian locations called Dress Like a Veggie.  This is a contest! To enter, participants must have 1 child dressed up like a veggie (it does not HAVE to be a VeggieTales veggie…just a veggie).  Parents must upload and share one photo of the child(ren) in their local store dressed like a veggie onto Twitter/Instagram.  Tag @Familychristian in the post and use the hashtag #FCVeggies. The grand prize winner will receive a $250 gift card for Family Christian.  Five runner ups will each receive a $50 appreciation certificate.

For inspiration check out the Dress like the VeggieTales Pinterest board.  All the kids who stop by the stores will receive small goodies (non-edible so allergy fears).
