I’ve been reading a cookbook that I’ll be reviewing soon, and it had me drooling from page one. There are so many unique but ‘comforting’ recipes in it, and I couldn’t help but make a bunch from it. One of them is a dessert from the author’s childhood, and is perfect for the fall season because it involves apples! I made it for an evening snack the other night, and it was simply ‘sweet comfort.’

Our daughter is kind of Mtn. Dew obsessed. She LOVES the stuff. As I try and limit her overall intake of sugar and caffeine, she only gets it for special occasions at home or when she’s able to snag it when we’re out and about somewhere.

I spent most of my day “offline” today in the kitchen, whipping up a ton of tasty, easy recipes that I’ll be sharing with you over the next month. Some of the recipes will be for product reviews, while others were just ones that were inspired from some e-mails I got, plus I was looking to use up some of the food in our fridge before it went bad!

While I was at the Kraft Innovations Kitchen BlogEats conference I got to eat a lot of food.  A LOT!  They provided us with recipes for all the fun things they made and one of the recipes was for OREO-Pumpkin Cookie Balls,

With all the ‘rage’ of cake pops lately, I’ve been meaning to make some myself. When I received a chocolate fondue pot to review, I knew this was the perfect time to try them.

After reading, and reading and reading some more about the best way to make them, I consolidated a bunch of recipes and reviews and went to town.
