Sweet and Spicy Soft Tacos with IMUSA for Cinco de Mayo

Sweet or spicy? What’s your favorite flavor?  How about both?!  That’s what I put together for a Cinco de Mayo celebration!

I’m not the best cook when it comes to Mexican fare, but IMUSA GlobalKitchen sent me some products to use in my kitchen to celebrate ‪#‎CincodeMayo‬.

I have never made homemade tortillas before but it was a challenge I was willing to take, for my soft tacos.  The IMUSA Tortilla Press from the GlobalKitchen Mexico product line features a traditional and durable design that allows for perfectly pressed homemade tortillas with just the right thickness and round shape.I used this Taste of Home Homemade Tortilla Recipe.  I started small folks 🙂  I wasn’t entirely sure that I could pull this off.  But this gives you an idea of how easy it is to make your own tortillas at home!

I did it!  I made a tortilla all by myself (yes I’m pretty proud of that)!  If I can do it YOU can do it 🙂

With a bit more practice I’ll be impressing my guests at next year’s Cinco de Mayo dinner!
