We’ve partied with Pirates on the High Seas many times. We’ve danced and eaten at Pirates IN the Caribbean parties, a Pirates in the Mediterranean party, a Pirates in Alaska party (although no one told the Pirates at the last two that we weren’t in the Caribbean…). We’ve even had our picture taken with a few famous pirates…
But yesterday was a new one for us – a Pirates in South Dakota party – where there is no water in sight. Anywhere. We’re as landlocked as landlocked can get.
But that didn’t stop us from decorating our home, inviting some friends and having a Pirate Party of our very own.
So take a look at our décor – a Treasure Chest Piñata, Pirate Pennants, and Jack Sparrow Dinnerware to eat our snacks off of.
So now it’s time to see the Pirates…
So what is it exactly that you do at a Pirate Party when you can’t sail a ship due to lack of water?
Well you make treasure boxes…
Count Dubloons…
Eat Pirate’s Booty…
Drink GhoulAid… (because it’s illegal to serve rum to those under 21…)
And watch Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides OF COURSE!!
How fun was this? Very fun! But let me break it to you gently Jack Sparrow…these girls…they were smitten with Philip!
Of course our Littlest Pirate thinks that Legos are more interesting than Philip – here’s a bonus clip from the DVD, featuring Captain Jack’s Brick Tales: Jack Saves the Day.
And don’t forget to have a ‘movie marathon’ featuring Pirates of the Caribbean !
We loved our pirate party, and we thank Disney for providing the party supplies and Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides Blu-ray + DVD Combo Packs for our viewing and our guests.
