One of the things I love about living in Texas is the food, and something that Texas does really well is BBQ 🙂
The North Dallas Chamber of Commerce is hosting its second annual Big D BBQ Battle on April 24th, 2015 from 5-9 PM at Valley View Center at Midtown. You can pre-purchase tickets on their website for $25 or get them at the event for $30. Your ticket price includes BBQ (brisket, ribs & beans) and beer, plus there will be some great live music from Hudson Moore happening during the event as well.
Dallas area businesses aim to provide the BEST BBQ to come out the winner. And just who has the lucky job of deciding whose creation is the best? That responsibility falls on 18 celebrity judges, including Texas Monthly’s barbecue editor Daniel Vaughn. But really this event has everyone walking away a winner, the friendly competition between over 30 entrants, the incredible value of mouthwatering food for the ticket holders, and those that benefit from the event, namely The North Texas Food Bank and Café Momentum.
I’m excited to be a guest at the Big D BBQ with provided tickets so watch my Instagram and Twitter for all the yumminess that I’ll be posting Friday evening. If you’re in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, why not grab a ticket or stop by the event and get some great BBQ.
