Mobile game apps are a funny thing. When you find a great one, you tend to want to play it all the time. I recently got to test drive the mobile app Alphie with a sample code, and haven’t been able to stop playing it!
Alphie is a courageous little squid whome you help navigate throgu the ocean. Along the way, you’re both in for a few surprises. If your efforts go awry, you may have to start again, but after a few tries you begin to get the hang of it.
Here is some more information about Alphie:
* In this unique ocean exploration adventure game players exercise the natural talents of giant squids: camouflage to hunt and avoid predators, ink to escape, and hypnotize prey, all the while venturing through the mysterious ocean world and discovering wondrous sea creatures. So as you can see, Alphie’s oceanic kingdom is a fun place to play AND learn.
Alphie is available from the App Store, Google Play and Amazon. The app is $2.99 and if you use the Android or Kindle platforms you can try the game out as the first four levels are free before you have to purchase the game.

I think my kids will like learning about sea creatures as the make their way through the ocean. I played it the free version just a few minutes ago. It's just challenging enough to make it fun but not discouraging.

The graphics in the video are very nice! My favorite part is when he ate the fish and he grew a bit.
