Phix Energy Giveaway

So for a while now, I have been interested in using an energy drink.  I drink coffee regularly but sometimes in the middle of the day I’d rather have a cold ‘pick me up’, so when I recently got an email to review Phix Energy, I decided to try it.

I received my samples of Phix in the mail and was excited to try it.  It’s very easy to use; you just pour the powdered mix that’s already premeasured for a 12 oz to 16 oz serving of water.

I stirred it up using a spoon, the first time I used it I realized you have to stir it for a bit longer than I did because I ended up with quite a bit of sediment on the bottom of my cup that time.  I then started mixing it for about a minute and didn’t get the powder on the bottom after that.

Phix Energy is a natural powder that blends green tea anti-oxidants, energy-restoring NADH and yerba mate.  It comes in a few flavors; Citron, Tropic and Teaberry.  My favorite flavor was the Tropic, which has hints of tropical berries, pineapple and guava in it.  I really like the taste of it.

I thought a good time to see if it did what it claimed was to drink it before I did my exercising.  I’m not in general a regular eater, and so often I will have that “crash” that comes after exercising.  I’ve started to notice that when I drink a cup of Phix Energy before working out, I don’t tend to feel that bottom out any more. 

I am going to say that I don’t know that I’d drink this regularly other than for before exercising, only because it does have calories in it (36 per serving), and since I do count my calories, I try to not use them on beverages.  But it certainly lives up to its claims.  If you’re looking for an energy drink that is natural and has vitamins in it as well, you may want to try it out.
