New ‘Diary of a Wimpy Kid’ Book – Gift Guide Pick

Jeff Kinney’s popular series “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” has a new book out on the shelf Cabin Fever.  Cabin Fever is the sixth book in the series.  Released on November 15th, 2011 by Abrams Publishing, Cabin Fever sold over 1 million books in its first week out!

In Cabin Fever, Greg Heffley is in big trouble.  School property has been damaged, and Greg is the prime suspect.  But the crazy thing is, he’s innocent.  Or at least sort of.

The authorities are closing in, but when a surprise blizzard hits, the Heffley family is trapped indoors.  Greg knows that when the snow melts he’s going to have to face the music, but could any punishment be worse than geing stuck inside with your family for the holidays?

Cabin Fever would make a great gift for that grade school or tween on your list.  My daughter loves these books and enjoys Greg’s ‘misadventures’ with his friend Rowley and his older and younger brother.  It’s available at stores nationwide and is under $10.00 on Amazon.com, making it a great deal for a school gift exchange.
