Mini Bargainz Daily Deal – Thirsty Totes Giveaway
Imagine being able to pick up a much needed or fun item for your baby or children at a fraction of the retail price? The catch being it’s a deal that will last for one day only. The savings can be 40 – 70% off, but you must hurry if you want it, because once it’s sold out, you’re out of luck!
Mini Bargainz is a new website that might end up becoming addictive! When I was checking the site out on June 30th, the deal was a digital photo keychain for $7.50 – regular $24.99. No surprise they were all sold out.

An Updated Experience with Neutrogena UltraSheer Liquid Daily Sunblock
Now that I have been using the Neutrogena UltraSheer Liquid Daily Sunblock for about a month, I want to update my experience with it.
My initial impressions of the product still stand. What I’m finding that I like the most about it though is the ease of application. It’s a small enough bottle that I can leave it out on my bathroom counter, which makes it easy to remember to apply each day. I need very little of the sunblock to cover my entire face. There’s no worry of squeezing too much out of the bottle because of the precision applicator tip (much like the tip of a glue bottle!).
Mini Patriotic Cheesecakes for the 4th of July
Last month for Memorial Day I had posted some recipes from Daymon Worldwide that Chef Kim had created.
Well summer is all about get togethers, and this weekend many of us will be celebrating the 4th of July, and what better way then to make something patriotic to go with the celebration.
Chef Kim has used his skills for two more recipes that you can use at your gathering this weekend, one of them I made last night, and can’t wait to share with my friends!
Electrolux/Kelly Ripa Summer Giveaway
When we were kids growing up Sunday evenings after church service meant ice cream time. My parents would take us to an ice cream place close by our home, and they’d pick up treats. Every couple of weeks we were allowed to choose anything we wanted, and that’s when I’d get a banana split.
Electrolux, Kelly Ripa and “the emperor of ice cream” Stephen Bruce (the owner of Serendipity 3, the landmark New York restaurant and dessert spot) are celebrating the launch of Electrolux’s new stand-alone refrigerator and freezer.
Yesterday, Kelly and Stephen, teamed up to make those favorite treats of mine, banana splits, for a cause. And you and I can dig in with them (using a virtual spoon of course) at www.kelly-confidential.com.
Switched-On Schoohouse Series: Parental Setup
Welcome back to my Switched-On Schoolhouse Series. This week I want to share with you the ins and outs of setting up the program on your computer from a parent point of view.
As I had originally said in my first post, Switched-On Schoolhouse can be installed in one of two ways on your computer. You can install just parts of it, and then run it off of the discs, or you if you have enough room on your hard drive, you can install the entire course right on your computer.
Optimally you will want to install it completely on your hard drive if you can. It’s a lot more seamless when using it, and on laptop a lot quieter too! There’s no waiting for the computer to find the lesson on
What Can I Do With Coconut Water Vinegar? (Giveaway)
A Truly Unique Vinegar!
Tropical Traditions Organic Coconut Water Vinegar is truly unique and is the first of its kind in the US market! Most vinegars are clear because they are distilled and originally made from white sugar. Our Organic Coconut Water Vinegar is not distilled, but raw. It contains the mother of vinegar.
Coconut trees in the Philippines have been on the decline for decades, and the coconut oil from coconuts is also now valued as a fuel source in bio-diesel production, resulting in less coconut oil availability as a food source each year. Vinegar made from coconut water, however, does not sacrifice coconuts or coconut oil in its production, as it is collected from mature coconuts which are used to make coconut oil, and the same trees can continue producing coconuts year after year.
ZeroWater Review
You’ve seen the commercials on TV right? If you watch Fox News during the Glenn Beck hour you have, because that repeating commercial is what caught our attention over and over again. The ones that claim ‘use the ZeroWater Filtration Pitcher and you’ll get quality bottled water taste using tap water’.
I am not a big water drinker, mostly because I hate the way our water tastes. I enjoy bottled water, but am too cheap to buy it, I figure we already pay for water, have a fridge water dispenser and I’m not going to go out and buy bottled water to drink. So I don’t drink it at all (or very rarely anyway), or I “mask” it with Crystal Light or something.
On Demand Learning for Today’s iGeneration
One of the reasons we have chosen to homeschool year round is the continuity of learning it provides. With more frequent shorter breaks throughout the year, we find Amber retains much more of the things she has learned.
Of course continuity comes in all forms not just how many school days you have and the vacation interspersed among them. It comes in the form of planning and curriculum too. Assuming that you are able to keep as much as possible the same from year to year, there shouldn’t be a lot of hiccups within the student’s progress. Once you know how your child learns, continuity is the key.
I’m noticing that more and more as Amber gets older. She is definitely part of the ‘iGeneration’,
