Crispy Licorice Treats Recipe
Today is National Licorice Day, and I wanted to do something fun for my family using some licorice. I tried to come up with something unique, but just couldn’t get the creative juices going, so I simply cut some Twizzlers up and added them to Crispy Rice Treats. Not overly unique – but certainly very yummy!

VO5 Review + Giveaway
You know how they say that scent is very strong reminiscer of memories? I’m sure there is some smell that you pick up and are instantly transported to the past. I have one of those ‘scent’ memories and it’s actually related to hairspray, VO5 hairspray as it might be. My grandmother used it (and a lot of it) all. the. time. You’d walk into the bathroom at their house and that’s all you could smell. I think she partially used it as air freshner (I jest, I jest). Years later if I smell that formula of VO5 or something similar, I think of my Oma.
Get In The Know. #MSNKnowNow

My life right now has come to a head. With our daughter going off to college in a year and the impending move to Texas, I’ve spent a lot of time reimagining what life will be like in the coming years with an empty nest in a new state. I like to think I’ll spend more time outside because the weather will be better. I’m hoping to have more time to spend blogging and keeping up on current events because I won’t be homeschooling anymore. And I imagine hopefully to get my DIY on – and start some new crafts and hobbies. We shall see if any of that comes to pass!
Easy Off – Oven Cleaning Steps! #EOSpringCleaning
You have company coming – there are dishes on your counter, in your sink, and your dishwasher is full…of course you stash them in the oven to hide them for a few hours and all is good right?! I’ve bet most of us have done that once.
Oh how I wish I could do that for the impromptu home showings we’ve been having, but alas people that are interested in buying my home, might actually be looking in the oven they’re buying with it. So not only does the oven have to be empty…it has to be clean!
Gearing up for Spring with Bike Safety Tips and the Live Secure Safety Squad
![]()
For those of us that live in places that get an actual winter – we are so happy to see spring making its way into our days. And with springtime that means more time we can spend outdoors playing, biking and having fun.
As part of the Master Lock Live Secure Safety Squad I was asked to put together some Bike Safety Tips to share with my readers. I thought a while on this topic and tried to include a few that maybe weren’t as obvious as some others would be.
Hungry Channel & Wholly Guacamole Review and Giveaway

When I think Guacamole and Salsa, I immediately think “chips” – but really how boring is that?! I mean both products are great to eat with chips, but there is so much more you can do with them, and I was shown just that when I got to visit the test kitchen of Wholly Guacamole® and spend the afternoon with the cooking inspiration of Nathan Lippy from The Hungry Channel. The HUNGRY Channel is the central hub of food entertainment on YouTube, led by a slate of original programming filled with diverse viewpoints and strong personalities. Grill This with Nathan Lippy has new episodes posted every Thursday on the HUNGRY YouTube channel.
Superior Source Vitamins Giveaway
Just as I was struggling with a cold that I picked up at Blissdom, I received samples of Superior Source vitamins to review. How timely!
I try and take at the very least a multi-vitamin, but I just don’t like swallowing pills…especially when I’m sick!
So I was eager to try Superior Source Vitamins, because they are MicroLingual® – “Under the Tongue Technology” (which means they are quickly absorbed into the body under the tongue).
My Baby’s All Grown Up and College Prep
I mentioned the other day, that in less than 3 weeks our daughter will turn 17. Where has the time gone?! We’re almost finished her junior year of high school, and college prep is right on target.
With the SAT under her belt we’re at the point where she has most of her preliminary ducks in a row to get into the college of her choice, which with the impending move and her senior year looming before us is at least one thing we don’t have to worry about.
Small Shells with Chicken & Tomatoes Recipe and a Good Cook Nonstick Knives Giveaway

The Good Cook nonstick knives that I received to review as part of the Good Cook blogger program are proving to be very popular items in my kitchen.
“These nonstick-coated knives come in inviting colors for ready access – the bright coding signals that purple is for sandwiches, green is for paring, etc. The serrated blades are crafted from high-carbon steel, which stays sharp through regular use. The nonstick coating prevents crumbs from sticking. Each knife includes a safety sheath to help protect the blade and allow for safe storage.
