Leftovers Pot Pie

We had so many leftovers from the holidays that I was getting desperate for new ways to fix them.  I found a wonderful Pot Pie recipe in a book I’ll be reviewing here on the blog in a few days called Everyday Confetti.

The nice thing about the recipe is that it has great bones to it.  The pie crust is about the only thing you really won’t change – but the insides you can make all your own.

GS Preschool Games – Android App

My nephews are busy boys, so when they were here visiting I made sure I had lots of things for them to do to keep them occupied.  Like most boys ages 4-7 they are interested in video games.  I always have an ulterior motive when I download games for them to play on my tablet or phone and it’s usually that this auntie makes sure that the games are educational.  While they were visiting I downloaded GS Preschool Games from the Google Play store for review.

Clutch | An All-in-One Shopping App

I know some people (like my husband) don’t really like to shop, but for me part of the fun of shopping is getting the best deal I can.

But, I like to have a game plan before I take the challenge on!

So before I head out for a day of giving my credit card a work out; I look through circulars.  I research online.  I make a list.  I clip coupons.  I plan my driving out.  Yet somehow I still end up missing something.  Every single time.

React Mobile: A Smartphone App for Safety

You’re going to see a lot of app reviews on my blog in the next few days.  With the arrival of my HTC One, I’ve been looking at some new ones to play with, since this is my first Android phone.  I just installed React Mobile, a safety app, the other day and here’s what I think about it.

The app is free to download to your phone and is available from both the iTunes and Google Play stores.  I reviewed the Android version and I had no issues downloading it.

This is What I Got for Christmas… How About You?

I hope you all had a really great Christmas

My sister and her family came from Canada to celebrate Christmas with us.  It’s a been a while since we’ve spent Christmas with little children and the excitement as the kids unwrapped their gifts was a lot of fun to watch.

I raked in TONS of caffeine in the form of K-Cups and Tassimo discs for my single serving brewers.

Riunite for the Holiday Season

I CANNOT believe Christmas is in just two days.  With family having come to visit us here in Texas for both Thanksgiving and Christmas that means we’ve been eating and drinking lots of great holiday food.  And a good glass of wine goes hand in hand with holiday celebrations.  Of course, in this economy we’re still watching our wallets a little more than we used to (well, I am anyway).  But there are certain things I don’t want to give up completely.  I was recently introduced to Riunite Lambrusco and I have to say this is truly a GOOD AFFORDABLE wine that you can add to your holiday table.
