This is a sponsored post for OneDay.
My husband and I have never been big on spending a lot of money for Valentine’s Day, but that doesn’t mean we don’t take the chance to do a little something for each other to show our love for one another.
For him that means that he will light a fire, sit and watch a ‘chick flick,’ pop up some popcorn and pour a glass of wine for me. Things we already have around the home, but showing that he knows what makes me happy.
Usually I opt for giving him chocolate and spend some time gaming with him, but this year I decided to do something a little different. We had started dating just before Valentine’s Day over 20 years ago and I thought it would be fun to download the OneDay app and make a video for him answering some questions about our relationship from when it started until now.
What’s great about the OneDay app is that it takes all the guesswork and awkwardness out of making videos. It’s easy and you don’t need any knowledge other than knowing how to touch your smartphone screen 🙂 And we all know how to do that!
It gives you a good choice of stories to choose from, including a selection of Valentine’s Day ones that are perfect for this time of the year. Each story has some question prompts, so you’re not floundering for something for yourself or your video subjects to say. When you’re done recording all the answers to the questions, you ‘create the video’ and the app seamlessly weaves all your segments together and adds some music. It’s a perfect way to chronicle your kids thoughts as they grow up or for holidays, as well as record special stories for other loved ones no matter your age.
I chose to use the “A Valentine For Your Better Half” for my husband. You can see it below. Please ignore the bathroom fixtures in the background 🙂 Since I didn’t have anyone to record it for me and I didn’t want him to see it before Valentine’s Day I had to use the mirror in our bathroom to record 😉 The woes of #selfies, right?! 🙂
There are multiple ways to share the video, so whether your friends and family are on Facebook or you prefer to e-mail or download it there are options for everyone to be able to let whomever you want see the OneDay video you created.
OneDay is currently Free and available in both the Google Play Store for Android devices and the iTunes store for the iOS platform.
What kind of videos would you want to make with the OneDayApp? Do you like the idea of being able to make a quality video with no editing knowledge?
