Preceded by Knuffle Bunny: A Cautionary Tale and Knuffle Bunny Too: A Case of Mistaken Identity, Mo Willems concludes his Knuffle Bunny book series with Knuffle Bunny Free: An Unexpected Diversion.
Knuffle Bunny begins the series with Trixie being just a toddler and losing Knuffle Bunny for the first time. In the second book she’s a pre-schooler, and in Knuffle Bunny Free she is about 6 or 7 years old.
Trixie and her family are off on a fantastic trip to visit her Opa and Oma in Holland! But Knuffle Bunny takes a detour, and Trixie has to decide what to do with her bunny. Is she going to hold on to it forever or is it time for that bunny to go and comfort other children?
Knuffle Bunny Free is a story about letting go and making decisions, not just for children, but it’s a story for parents as well. It’s about watching your children grow up , and the change of being the people your child depends upon fully, to stepping back and allowing them to be more independent.
If your child has ever loved and/or lost a special toy, you know how emotional that can be! Knuffle Bunny Free puts those feelings into a beloved picture-book, with pitch-perfect text and art, photos from around the world, and a stunning fold out spread.
HarperCollins Children’s Books has put together a wonderful giveaway that includes a copy of KNUFFLE BUNNY FREE: AN UNEXPECTED DIVERSION , a squeezably soft stuffed Knuffle Bunny, a luggage tag featuring Trixie and Knuffle Bunny and a beautiful over-sized poster.
