Looking for a way to look a little more style when you take your children to the park, sports activities or beach this summer…or while you hang out at the pool yourself? Or, looking for some little goodies to give your HS graduate who is going off to college and needs some “supplies” from home? These cute acrylic tumblers from home décor store Kirkland’s (www.kirklands.com and www.mykirklands.com) might be a perfect answer for you.
These BPA free tumblers that I received from Kirkland’s were a complete surprise! I mean who would have thought that I’d have my family fighting over them?
The inserts are patterned after animal skins, a cheetah pattern for the green, and zebra for the pink. They have a great foil sheen to them making them very chic. The insulated tumblers come with a clear lid that screws on, and a straw with a ring on it, that you position on the inside of the tumbler so that it can’t come out if the tumbler ends up upside down for some reason! The tumbler holds 16 oz, but that is right up to the brim of the top, so I’d suggest not quite filling it all the way up.
These tumblers are for cold beverages (don’t put your morning coffee in them!) – and are great for taking with you to get your Frap at Starbuck’s and saving the use of a disposable cup.
These do need to be handwashed, which I usually don’t care for when it comes to dishes, but the trade off for washing them by hand is that they don’t sweat. At. All. My husband used to use a cup on the kitchen counter, fill it with ice and water, and let it sit there all day. There was always a HUGE puddle of water surrounding that cup and it drove me nuts. Now he uses the green acrylic tumbler from Kirkland’s and I don’t have that problem anymore. Well worth handwashing it!
You can purchase these acrylic tumblers (and in other designs) at Kirklands.com for $9.99 each. You can also get replaceable straws for them at $3.99 for six. I suggest picking a set up of those up in case the straws break or you do end up losing one somehow.
One lucky person can win one of each – one pink and one green tumbler (with a retail value of $9.99 each) in our Kirkland’s Tumbler Giveaway. Here are the official rules from Kirkland’s: http://www.kirklands.com/content.jsp?pageName=official_blogger_rules.
Remember; the mandatory entry must be done in order for ANY entries you make count.
Good Luck!
