It’s happened to all of us at some time.  Someone meaning well has purchased us a gift that’s just not our style, or size or something we just wouldn’t ever use.  Like this for instance:

“What is this, 1958? Give the little wife a blender?”* Just because I like milkshakes doesn’t mean I want a blender as a gift.  Sigh.

 So I decided to try it out and make a Wish List for my husband.  Registering for an account was easy, I added him as a contact and then I dropped the UR Button into my bookmarks on FireFox. Then I added a Gift Page for him for Father’s Day and went browsing on Amazon.

 

This way I’m still showing that I showed some thought into picking out the gift, but ultimately he’s choosing the one he would really like the most.  It’s a win/win for gift giving!  And maybe if I use it, he’ll take the hint and use it too – that way I avoid the whole ‘blender for a gift’ fiasco in the future.
