ISA Professional Ceramic Flat Iron

Today I’m doing a review of a product that I’ve really been enjoying using since I received it, the ISA Professional Ceramic Flat Iron.  It’s a pretty sleek looking flat iron with its red and black color scheme.
Now I have really thick, naturally wavy/frizzy/curly hair 😉  This is now my 3rd dedicated flat iron (I have a couple of multi-use ones as well).  The first one I got is actually a decent one, but it only has 3/4″ plates so it took me a really long time to straighten my hair and you couldn’t adjust the temperature on it.  The second one has larger plates and you can set the temperature but it was on the cheap side and doesn’t have ceramic tourmaline plates so I feel like my hair is getting damaged when I use it.

The ISA Professional Ceramic Flat Iron is a great hair straightener.  The cost is on the higher side (currently it is selling for $145 on Amazon.com), but I think when it comes to flat irons you get what you pay for.

Obviously it straightens hair as you can see in my photo collage below.But let me tell you more in depth why it’s worth the $$.

• 100% Solid Tourmaline Ceramic Plates – Other flat irons only have coated plates or metal plates.  The tourmaline ceramic plates emit negative ions to smooth and protect hair, and provide salon quality results.  These plates also heat up quickly so you don’t have to wait a long time to get started with styling your hair after you turn it on.  While using I never feel like I have to tug on my hair while I’m running it through and I rarely have to do more than one or two passes to get my hair straight.

• Well Made –  The ISA Professional Ceramic Flat Iron does not feel cheaply made.  There is sufficient room between the plates to get a good amount of hair in to straighten.  It even comes with a full 2 year warranty, which shows you how confident they are in their product.  • Digital Temperature Control – From 175 to 450 degrees.  You can lock your desired temperature in once its reached by double pressing the power button.  That way if you press the buttons while straightening your hair, you’ll hear beeps, but the temperature will remain steady at what you set it to.  (That’s one of the complaints you might read about in other reviews that the buttons are in a poor position, but the instructions are pretty clear on how to set this up and once you do that, there really isn’t any problem with the button placement at all!)

• Swivel Cord – The cord has a 360 degree swivel to it so it moves along with you when you are using it and doesn’t get tangled up.  The cord length is really generous, which I love.  Sometimes outlet placements aren’t convenient and with such a long cord it gives you the room to move around if needed without feeling like you’re going to rip the plug out of the wall.I really don’t have anything negative to say about this flat iron.  I’m really happy with its performance so far and the way I’m able to straighten my hair with it.  You can check out other reviews for it on Amazon.com.
