Houlihan’s Restaurant & Bar has a new limited-time Inspiralized menu.
I had the chance to visit a local restaurant last week and try out the new dishes. Here’s some more information on them.
About the menu: The special menu is the result of a partnership between Houlihan’s and Ali Maffucci, a rising food star and founder of Inspiralized.com. Maffucci first made a name for herself in the food blogging community by creating uniquely healthy dishes that transform vegetables into noodles and other craveable forms. Beyond cultivating a popular blog, Maffucci is renowned for her New York Times® best-selling cookbook, Inspiralized, and her signature product, the Inspiralizer.
The private tasting featured three spiralized dishes exclusive to Houlihan’s – and we got to see the chef in action making the first dish below!
- Thai Noodle Salad: Sriracha Thai peanut sauce tossed with fresh spiralzed zucchini “noodles,” mangos, red peppers, snow peas, tri-colored quinoa, basil, mint, and almonds. This happens to be the best selling menu item at Houlihan’s right now, not just from the Inspiralized menu but from every menu item they offer!
- Sweet Potato, Corn & Bacon Mexicali Flatbread: spiralized sweet potatoes & zucchini, sweet corn, bacon, Greek yogurt white sauce, pickled jalapeños, blend of cheeses, avocado salsa
- Butternut Squash and Sausage Lasagna: Spiralized butternut squash “noodles,” herbed ricotta, Italian sausage, sautéed organic kale-spinach-chard blend, marinara & mozzarella, served with pesto zucchini ‘noodle’ side salad
This was my favorite of the three dishes. I LOVED it, I could have had seconds, thirds.. maybe even fourths!
