So it’s no secret here that I like my coffee. A lot. On a typical weekday morning I drop a pod in my single serve brewer, because I want it fast, but on lazier days I prefer to brew my coffee in a more deliberate way, grinding beans and french pressing them. So it was with great anticipation that I awaited my first Bean Box Coffee shipment of freshly roasted beans. Bean Box graciously sent it to me at no cost to myself.
The packaging of the coffee itself was great. Four 2 oz packets of freshly roasted beans right from Seattle, with a description sheet and a bonus of a chocolate tucked in as well 🙂
I requested a box with medium roasts and I love the fact that I got for different flavors to try. All four of them were delicious, each with its own unique tasting notes. But I have to admit my favorite of the bunch was the Peru La Convención blend from Caffe Vita. As soon as I opened the package I knew I was in for a treat. The aroma was heavenly and I really felt like I was standing in a coffee shop where they roast their own beans.
Bean Box offers a variety of coffee types for those who like dark or light roasts or a combination of tastes. They all come from Seattle roasters, and you know that they have that coffee thing covered pretty well over in that part of the country.
Even if you are not a coffee drinker yourself, this is a unique gift for coffee lovers. I don’t know many who wouldn’t appreciate a subscription like this, where wonderful coffee shows up in their mailbox each month 🙂
You have two choices for a subscription. One is a monthly tour of Seattle’s top coffees (like what I received) which can be as low as $17 a month or you can choose to receive The Coffee of the Month feature, which is 12 ounces of freshly-roasted whole bean coffee at $20 a month or choose a bag every two weeks for $34 a month.
Not sure you want to commit to a whole year? You can cancel anytime. Bean Box Coffee selections are also available to purchase on their website by the bag.
