It has been 25 years since America’s favorite unstoppable icon,  Energizer Bunny, drummed his way in to consumers’ hearts and homes. (Oh Bunny you are young, I was 15 when your cute pink fluffiness made your way across the TV screen.)  Everyday people and pop culture enthusiasts alike have been enraptured with his tenacious spirit and boundless energy. People often compare themselves to the Energizer Bunny because of his never quit attitude (not me though, I get tuckered out long before the Bunny or his products do).  So much so, in 2006 the Oxford English Dictionary added Energizer Bunny to its lexicon with this definition:

Energizer Bunny n.:  A persistent or indefatigable person or phenomenon.

Energizer’s motivational mascot has shared the stage with characters such as Darth Vader, King Kong and the Wicked Witch.  He has traveled from outer space to the bottom of the sea, and entertained millions at community events and through social media. Advertising Age named the Energizer Bunny to its list of top 10 Ad Icons of the 20th Century.

Age has not slowed the Energizer Bunny down one bit (hey Energizer…think you could share some of that energy with this nearly 40 year old?!).  Rather, it has motivated and expanded his personal mantra to that’s positivenergy™ – a commitment to designing products with people in mind and investing in programs that have a positive impact on the world.

It’s time to celebrate!

How Consumers Can Join the Birthday Fun – Bunny Bucks and Facebook

The Energizer Bunny believes birthdays are about celebrating with those around him (Thanks Bunny!  My birthday is in 10 days…just saying…).   In stores now, consumers can collect Bunny Bucks to turn into money (sorry I won’t be issuing Tammy Bucks for my birthday folks), via a check or deposit into their PayPal accounts.  And, with the holidays just around the corner, it’s the perfect time to start stocking up on batteries for all of those holiday gifts you will be giving. The Energizer Bunny will also dole out party favors in the way of coupons throughout the year.

Everyone is also invited to join the fun on Facebook by, stopping by to wish the Energizer Bunny a “Happy Birthday” on his Facebook wall.  They will also have the chance to enter a special Energizer Bunny Birthday Sweepstakes.
