Digital Photo Frame Keychain Giveaway

Most everyone has a digital camera these days, but there are still some of us who don’t have a smart phone or an iTouch to show off pictures of our vacation, children or new home.  Yet with a digital photo frame keychain, I can still show off my pictures, and in a compact way.

I received the Digital Photo Keychain & Keyring in pink from wholesalekeychain.com to review.

This 1.5 inch 128×128 LCD display, comes with a small user manual and a USB cable.  The instructions are not difficult to follow, but the set up is not intuitive, and this comes from a household of geeks. 

The software for the digital photo keychain is already on the keychain, but when you connect it to your computer, it loads it up as it it were on your cd drive.  The .exe file that’s installed allows you to format your pictures to fit on the keychain and then download them for viewing.  It can hold up to 100 pictures.

The battery is charged via the USB cable as well, so when it indicates it is low, you can just plug it into your computer to charge it.

The keychain has a clock and calendar installed on it, and you can set your pictures to run as a slide show with a certain timing on how long they stay on the screen.  There is also a setting that you can program to set for it to automatically turn off after so many minutes.

Although it’s small, with the right photos it is actually pretty impressive.  You can also have it engraved, so it would make a great gift.  The one thing you’ll notice is that it tends to collect your fingerprints on it.  I am constantly wiping it down, because I don’t like all the smudges.  Here is a short video showing how the slideshow looks:

A neat item for back to school for tweens and teens.  (And at $9.99 a heck of a lot more affordable than most other photo sharing gadgets!)  They could attach it to their backpack or messenger bag, so on Monday morning they can share the photos with their peers, that they took on the weekend at the slumber party or football game.
