Sip, Savor and See | Messina Hof Grapevine is Now Open!
I’ve blogged before about how much I love the city of Grapevine here in North Texas. If you’ve never been to the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex the cities and towns that surround those two cities just sort of flow into each other. I have the pleasure of living in a neighboring city to Grapevine so Downtown Grapevine is quite close to my home and I frequent it often.
George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum
“Being a tourist” in your own city can be fun. Even though we’ve lived in DFW for over a year now, we’re still discovering the attractions that this area has to offer. And there are a. lot. of them! This past May when my parents came to visit for Amber’s graduation we took them to many different sites and places and one of them was the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum. Political leanings aside, if you’re ever in an area where any Presidential Library is – be sure to stop in and see it. They are well worth the admission price and the time spent in them.

Stomping Grapes in Bryan, TX Reveals an Announcement of a Winery Expansion to MY Stomping Grounds
Last week I got the chance to cross another item off my bucket list. Stomping grapes. The evening couldn’t have been more perfect. Great Friends, Great Weather and Great Wine. Without a doubt it was a trifecta.
Let me back up a bit. Last Friday afternoon, my friend Dawn from The Frugal Mom, asked me if I’d like to go with her to the Moonlight Harvest Festival at Messina Hof Winery in Bryan, TX. Well..duh! Of course I wanted to go.
Perot Museum of Nature and Science in Dallas, Texas
Since moving to the DFW area last July we’ve been slowly working our way through all the sites and attractions in the area. I’ve written about quite a few of them on the blog so far, and one of the things we really wanted to do in downtown Dallas was visit the Perot Museum of Nature and Science. We had a chance to do that last week when they had a Family Media Day, we took advantage of the complimentary entrance fee and I’m so glad we did! I have A LOT of pictures so you can see the reason why you need to visit if you’re ever in Dallas.
Grapevine Wine Tours
When we moved to North Texas last summer, I was delighted when we found a home close to the city of Grapevine. It has great tourist appeal and interesting places to visit. I’ve had the chance to go to numerous locales there in the past year.
When you think of wine, Texas is a state that you probably wouldn’t think of. But it’s the fourth largest wine producing state. And I do believe that my new favorite experience in the area is Grapevine Wine Tours. It’s a fun wine tasting/meal event that gets you a flavor for the wineries located in the area and leaves you with a taste for more…
The Scarborough Renaissance Festival
We had a chance to go to the Scarborough Renaissance Festival this past weekend. What made it even more exciting was bringing my parents along with us. My dad and mom are Faire newbies and it was fun to introduce them to this cultural event.
