Puzzle Baron’s Logic Puzzles Book Giveaway
Tuesday morning, while I was waiting for the plumber to arrive to cut up our garage ceiling which has a leak in it (totally other story, which I’ll tell some time), I decided to pass the time with the new book I received Puzzle Baron’s Logic Puzzles. I’ve never been terribly good at logic puzzles, but tend to do better with word puzzles than number ones like Sudoku (have I mentioned I have numerphobia?!!). In any event, I started with the first puzzle and after erasing it…twice…gave up but not in defeat, I just decided to test my brain on the next one. And after some time (I didn’t check the clock, as I could have been doing laundry or cleaning my kitchen…), I came out victorious, and solved it! What a rush.
So now that I have achieved the

Not really a place most people would go to on their honeymoon, but you know we’re geeks, so Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Museum was on our list of things to see and do in Orlando on ours. Cooking For Geeks
My family and I are self professed geeks. The “why” and the “how” behind the object or activity needs to be discovered. So a book entitled, Cooking For Geeks is right up our alley. Jeff Potter, speaks geek in this science book about the kitchen and your food, and not only do you not have to go back to school to learn and be surprised on nearly every page, it includes many tasty recipes too.
The book features seven chapters (with my opinion of chapter highlights below):

The Women in Jesus’ Life is a good bible study book full of lessons for a group of women to study together (or it can also be used as a study guide on your own). Author Mindy Ferguson encourages the participants to think about the women in Jesus’ life as real women. In reality, we either are like these women or know someone like them.
Women have an important role in God’s kingdom here on Earth, and God has ‘wired’ them differently then men for a reason. Culture during Jesus’ time for women was
