Here in our Texas community families are counting down the days until school starts. August 25th. That’s just a little more than 3 weeks! And that’s when the chaos of early mornings, afternoon pickups, dance lessons, soccer games, homework, girl & boy scout meetings….well yeah ALL of that begins again. Time is precious but there is only so much of it in our days and sometimes it’s just easier to have things prepared for us in advance. For healthy snacking that’s already prepped for you, Chiquita Bites have you covered.
Chiquita sent us some of their Apple Chiquita Bites to make some back to school snacks to share with you all. Their single serve bags of Apples and Apples & Grapes are good for school lunches, for snacking on the go and for the kids just to grab from the fridge.
Chiquita Bites are:
∙ Washed and ready to eat
∙ 30-80 calories per serving
∙ A half-cup of fruit or vegetables per serving
∙ A great source of nutrition
The Family Sized bags are fantastic for picnics or park days, to bring as a team snack to sports games, or recipes.
Here are a couple of easy back to school snacks for your kids to make and eat using the single serve pouches of Chiquita Bites.
This is one time you won’t mind your kids playing with their food!
The next one is probably a bit easier for older kids to eat. You could cut the toast first and then spread the peanut butter and add one apple to each piece in order to make it easier for little fingers to hold and eat. The recipe has honey, but I used the Chiquita Apple Bites with Caramel Dip when I made it – because well…caramel (need I say more?!). Either way, it’s a healthy sweet treat for an after school snack, and older kids can even make it themselves.
Share a Back To School tip or trick with Chiquita on Facebook you’ll be entered in the Chiquita Moms Rule Back to School Contest for a chance to win a $1,000 shopping spree and a years worth of Chiquita Bites. For official rules: http://www.chiquita.com/Chiquita/documents/MomsRules.pdf

Ha! I love these!! So cute and healthy!
My son loves these apples! They are the best!
I love the apples in a bag. Mine always end up Brown when I try to send them in a lunch box.
So cute!! The two fruits my son will eat so I need to do this for him.
I’ve read a few posts here and I can actually relate to the extreme busyness and wanting some healthy but already prepared snacks for my kids.
