Although I consider myself to be quite technologically savvy, I never thought I’d be the kind of person that would get excited over a GPS. Last year I got one for my husband, because he’s the kind of guy that appreciates toys like that.
Quite honestly though I think (to my surprise!) that I get more use out of it then he does. I like that when I use it to drive to an unfamiliar place, that I don’t have to look around for road signs.
The GPS in her odd but soothing robotic voice lets me know in plenty of time when my exit is coming up and to change lanes if needed. The chiming bells alerting me to turn, always getting me to my destination without feeling panicked and searching for that elusive street name.
Now if only it could alert me to the location of the no parking signs too! That would be the icing on the cake, because then I’d be sure to not have my car towed (sigh… Yes it’s happened!).
Do you have a GPS for driving? Do you use it? If you don’t have one do you wish you did?

Oh I use the GPS on my phone. I get a lot of use out of it. I'm okay with having directions written down, but they have to be written out by me, because I have to have a very simplistic approach (i.e. left on broad, right on leaf). I once had my mother give me directions written down, this was before GPS and she wrote me a book. I can't read all that when I'm driving! argh!
Sometimes my GPS gets me lost though. She goes the wrong direction or takes me the long route. I have a love/hate relationship with her. ;D
I probably need one because I am directionaly challenged. Iam a fan of maquest and I have a husband who never gets lost. HaHa
I don't have one, but my husband said he'd get me one for my birthday if Harry Potter ebooks aren't out by then. I ALWAYS get lost!
