What’s New at Best Buy? Magnolia Home Theater and Pacific Kitchen & Home Departments…That’s What!

If you are looking for some high end home theater equipment, Best Buy just may be your next stop, at least in the Dallas/Ft Worth area.  Just in time for holiday shopping, an upgrade to some Best Buys is their Magnolia Design Center.  We visited the new completed location on Cyber Monday in Frisco, TX and to say we were impressed is an understatement.

Magnolia Home Theater at Best Buy

In one of our previous homes we actually had a whole home theater set up in our basement living area.  We really miss that and have been wondering how we can replicate the experience in our current home, but were really lacking ideas.

The Magnolia Design Center in Best Buy is set up in such a way to address customers just like us.  With a few rooms that are visually and auditorily immersive to give you the experience of what a high end home theater would be like in your home.

From the crisp, clear and stunning picture of HUGE 4K Ultra HD TVs to booming bass coming out of speakers of all shapes and sizes, the reality of bringing the movie theater into your home is right there in The Magnolia Design Center.

Employees are at the ready to help you with your needs and demonstrate the equipment for you to give you a taste of how it all looks and sounds.

Apparently that was all the taste my husband needed as it whet his appetite enough that a 65″ TV is on his Christmas wish list …seeing is believing, obviously!

Pacific Kitchen & Home at Best Buy

If you women are more interested in high end kitchen appliances than home theater equipment you’ll be pleased to know that Best Buy hasn’t left you out.  4 Best Buy stores in the Dallas/Ft Worth area have a brand new Pacific Kitchen & Home store within them.  They are located in Arlington, Farmers Branch, Fort Worth and Mequite.  While I didn’t visit those particular stores, our local Lewisville store also has one, which I need to admit I gravitate to quite frequently 🙂

Here you’ll find high end kitchen appliance brands like Viking, Miele, Thermador, Kitchen Aid, Jenn-Air and more.  

Our home was built in 1987 and the original cooktop and built in ovens are still in use.  I know that their days are numbered so every time we’re at our local Best Buy store I check out the Pacific Kitchen & Home store to find something new to save my pennies for.

I have my eye on a Thermadore Induction Cooktop, and the last time we were there I fell in love with a Viking french door double oven set.

Unfortunately they only make them in a 30″ size and my ovens are 27″…pssst…. Viking, if my husband can get a 65″ TV…I want 27″ Double Door Ovens..mkay?!

Best Buy isn’t just a ‘box store’ anymore.  With these “stores within a store,” high end brands that you had to go to speciality stores to view and purchase are now coming to select Best Buys.
