For me, this honestly wasn’t as intuitive as it should have been.  I read the instructions, and the first time around, no grounds were in the collection cup and I was just getting frustrated. After checking out the interwebs, I realized one of many things it could be; from grinding too fine, or oily beans, to a bean stuck in the burr housing.  As I was beginning to disassemble the grinder to clean it, I realized the setting I had was just too fine.

So now that I thought I knew what I was doing I adjust the bottom grinding setting accordingly and while this time the grounds did fall into the collection cup, after doing my pour over, they were too course and the coffee was just really colored water.

Yes, the Java G25 Coffee Grinder is a powerhouse portable grinder for sure, but if you’re like me, be prepared to waste a good amount of coffee beans to figure out the setting to get the pour over grind you desire.  And then don’t budge that dial 🤣.   Once you find the grind you want though, it’s superb.

A felt pouch is also included to store the grinder in when not in use, or nested.

Effortless Brewing Anywhere

The Nest Pour Over Kit includes a high-quality stainless steel micro-filter that eliminates the need for paper filters, making it an eco-friendly choice.  This filter y’all…. incredible. While putting the grinder aside when I was frustrated, I took some pre-ground coffee that I had, made for a drip machine so definitely pretty fine, and loaded the filter up to make a pour over with that.  What I ended up with was an absolutely fabulous cup of coffee with NO grounds at the bottom of the cup.  Cleaning it up was fairly easy, I scooped out the wet grounds and then rinsed out the grounds that were left.

The dual-wall, stainless steel coffee mug keeps your coffee hot while protecting your hands from the heat. The only downside to this is while the Nest design has two 10 oz cups to drink from, they only have one lid 🤷‍♀️.  I’m fine with that, as I usually drink without a lid any way, and the way the nesting works, two lids may not have fit in the design to nest it all.  Just thought I’d point that out.
