I do a lot of reading – probably at least a book a week – and all summer long when I heard about the movie “The Help”, I meant to get the book and read it.  But life happens when you make plans, and I never got around to it.

I did however get to see the movie “The Help” when I was on my Disney cruise in August.  My mom and I caught a showing in the movie theater on board the Disney Wonder.  We both thought it was a really great movie, and I recommended it to a lot of people to go and see.  I still plan on reading the book one day, but if you’re not a reader you really should at least see the movie.

If you missed it in the theaters you’re in luck – The Help will be coming out on Blu-ray and DVD on December 6th (heh -just in time for Christmas gifts too!).  The Help Blu-ray Combo Pack provides audiences with the chance to delve deeper into the movie through compelling, never-before-seen bonus features, including “The Making of ‘The Help:’ From Friendship To Film,” an intimate look at how the life-changing experiences of close-knit childhood friends director Tate Taylor and novelist Kathryn Stockett led to the creation of the best-selling novel and its transition to the big screen.

Take a peek at the preview trailer below:

The Help stars Emma Stone, Viola Davis, Octavia Spencer and Bryce Dallas Howard.  To learn more about The Help Visit the website and mobile site: http://thehelpmovie.com/us/.

  1. I'm so excited for this to come out on DVD. I love movies at home, I can pause, rewind, and control the volume. Can't wait to see this movie as it has such great reviews and an amazing book!

  2. I was so bummed that I missed my opportunity to see the movie 🙁 Now I'm just waiting for the cheap theaters and/or DVD so I can see it. Patience 😀

But I've heard great things, I'm really excited to see it!
