Taste of Home and Healthy Cooking Fall Issues

I love the Taste of Home magazine.  Just opening the cover and seeing the recipes makes me think of family gatherings, friends hanging out and of course comfort food.  Recipes from the magazine quickly become family traditions.

The October 2011 issue (available for purchase for $3.99 until October 24th, so you still have one week to get it) has so much in it.  An hour to get from stovetop to table Chicken & Dumplings recipe, to great ways to use up all those apples you picked in the orchard this fall, Taste of Home October 2011 has 172 Recipes & Tips.

Tips like ‘freezer 411’.  The Taste of Home Test Kitchen gives you their tips on how best to keep your food frozen and when you should make sure you use it!

And these magazines just keep giving – with even more recipes in the categories you love online.  My personal favorite…the Quick Fix; recipes made in 30 minutes or less.

If you’re trying to live better with the way you cook and eat then Healthy Cooking’s October/November 2011 issue is for you (also just $3.99, available until November 28th).  With the cold weather just around the corner you’ll appreciate the 8 prize winning slow cooker recipes.  Or if you love a challenge to get a healthy dinner on the table with time to spare there are recipes for quick & easy super suppers.

Oh and how could I forget Thanksgiving?!  Learn how to makeover classic favorites in a healthier way like these Makeover Streusel-Topped Sweet Potatoes.

With so much more than recipes these issues are well worth the $3.99 price tag.  I know that I’ll be referencing them frequently over the next few months!
