If you haven’t heard about Taste of Home magazine, well, here is your new recipe obsession. It’s one of my favorite publications for a reason; the recipes in it are typically fail proof and my family generally loves them. What’s better than having to page through years of back issues to find something to make? The Taste of Home cookbooks that feature reader and Taste of Home test kitchen recipes. Thanks to Reader’s Digest Association for the gift of the two books to make this review for our holiday gift guide possible.

While I haven’t had time to go through each and every recipe in this book 😉 I did already make the Honey-Garlic Glazed Meatballs from the *Appetizers, Snacks, Beverages* section. My husband pretty much told me to ditch the previous saucy meatball recipe I have been making for years and use this one instead 😂 .
And then there is the cookbook every person with half a sweet tooth needs to have on their shelf…

Well of course I tried some of these recipes too, and one I will be making again, and again and again is the Double Chocolate Biscotti. This is a recipe from the Taste of Home Test Kitchen. It’s not just ah-mazingly tasty – it’s SUPER easy! PLUS you can totally take the basic recipe and tweak it like I did!
Store bought chocolate chip cookie dough, caramel baking chips and chopped up pecans were my twist on the provided recipe (which is the basic three ingredients, the chocolate chip cookie dough, baking chips and chopped nuts) – and VOILA I had Chocolate Caramel Pecan Biscotti!
People listen to me – never in my life did I think I could make biscotti 😉 I am so excited to go through the rest of this book and try out the delicious sounding (and looking!) recipes.
