#SummerGoodies for an Outdoor Party – JACK’S® Original Pizza and NESTLE® DRUMSTICK Cones

You may have noticed that I haven’t posted in a couple of days on my blog, and that’s because we’ve been busy with guests and celebrations celebrating our daughter’s high school graduation!  I can’t believe that my baby is finished.  We had a grand time pulling out all the stops for her though, and I can not wait to show you all the things we did.

Even though we only recently moved to Texas, Amber is a really social person, and has managed to make quite a few friends.  We also had some guests fly in for the event and we as parents invited some of our new friends.  It ended up being quite the crowd congregating on our back deck.

We wanted to put out a spread of food but still wanted to keep it somewhat simple.  Wanting something both young and old would enjoy, pizza and frozen novelties as a part of the menu seemed like a good fit.  It seems like I was at Walmart every day that week for one thing or another, and so on one of my many stops there I picked up some #SummerGoodies; JACK’S Original Pizza and NESTLE DRUMSTICK cones.

My kitchen was full of everything else, and it kind of looked like a tornado had struck, so it’s a good thing that one can make JACK’S Original Pizza on the gas grill.  That’s right, you can grill it.

It’s the first time we’ve ever done that, and it was such a hit, that we’ll definitely prepare it that way again.

We were trying to figure out the best way to keep the NESTLE DRUMSTICK cones cold and decided that filling a small cooler with ice, nestling the cones in them and then labeling the top of the cooler with part of the packaging would ensure that everyone would know where to find them to nosh on.

The pizzas and the cones were gobbled up by everyone, no matter their age.

Even I found time to take a break from replenishing the food, making sure everyone was fed and taking pictures, to enjoy a peanut butter cone!

We made three pizzas and ended up with only 3 pieces leftover.  The ‘older’ generation in attendance were the most thrilled about the NESTLE DRUMSTICK cones as a choice with one even exclaiming that they had not had one in years.  Even though I bought the Peanut Butter Variety pack they said the cones were as tasty as the original ones they remembered from summers past, decades ago.  Look at those guys there savoring the chocolate filled bottom of the cones!

The JACK’S Original Pizza and NESTLE DRUMSTICK cones are great to have on hand for an outdoor pizza grilling party – they are a fun and tasty way to celebrate summer.
