When we were traveling last week we had breakfast at a local restaurant that had so many breakfast choices it was unbelievable. I settled on a French Toast platter that had a praline sauce on top. There were so many other indulgent offerings on the menu though that I was inspired to make something equally yummy at home. It’s really quiet simple and delicious.
Stuffed French Toast

4 oz. cream cheese softened
1/2 cup of confectioners sugar
6 slices of Texas Toast
2 eggs, beaten
1/3 cup almond milk
1/2 tbsp. sugar
1. Mix cream cheese and confectioners sugar together. Spread on two slices of bread and then top the cream cheese with the remaining bread making 3 sandwiches.
2. Mix eggs, almond milk and sugar together and pour into a shallow dish.
3. Dip the bread into the liquid mixture on each side and fry in a frying pan on medium heat, turning one time.
4. Serve with syrup.
If you want to go a little thinner on the spread, you could probably add two more slices of bread and make a total of 4 sandwiches.
