Resveratrol Antioxidant Giveaway

About a week ago I received a bottle of Resveratrol Antioxidant pills in the mail.  Resveratrol was something new to me I had not heard of it before Neocell contacted me to share my thoughts, with you the readers, on my site (apparently I live under a rock, because it is supposedly a big thing in the ‘supplement’ world).  I don’t drink alcohol, but those of you that do may recognize that resveratrol is found in red wine.

For those unaware (as I was) exactly what resveratrol is; Resveratrol is a natural antibiotic present in some plants, like, grapes, blueberries, cranberries, eucalyptus, and others. This substance is produced in plants as a defensive mechanism against bacterial and fungal attacks.

Because I have Raynaud’s (a circulation disorder) and have had a mini-stroke in the past, heart health is very important to me.  That’s what intrigued me about the Resveratrol Antioxidant, the promotion of heart health, the anti-aging benefits that may also come from use, is just extra icing on the cake for me.  I prefer as much as possible to take as few prescription drugs as I can, and try to treat the symptoms of my Raynaud’s with natural supplements so that was another reason that I was amenable to trying the Resveratrol Antioxidant.

From the product description:

Trans-e-Viniferin and Oligo Stilbenes are active ingredients in the Trans-Resveratrol that is extracted from the red wine and grape vines. These molecules are potent antioxidants that quench the floating harmful radicals that damage cellular structures in tissues and organs. Such molecules are not therapeutically active in the sap of the knotweed herb (Polygonum Cuspidatum) to play such a role. NeoCell Resveratrol Antioxidant uses only the finest red wine grapes, grape vine and seeds from the Bordeaux region in France. The addition of Muscadine grapes, French Grape Seed extract and Pomegranate extract make these amazing fruits a unique blend containing natural polyphenol nutrients and powerful antioxidants which contributes to a healthy lifestyle. NeoCell Resveratrol is processed without exposure to high heat, chemicals or UV light, preventing oxidation and ensuring the important nutrients remain intact for the utmost quality and efficacy.

After doing further research, I came across numerous scientific studies that say that resveratrol can also aid in weight loss!  Now that’s a super bonus!  It can help because some of the properties of this natural supplement actually increases your motabilism.  Because I’m primarily taking it for the heart health benefits, I haven’t actually paid much attention to whether I’ve lost any weight currently while taking it, but if I do that will be a wonderful side effect!

Resveratrol Antioxidant may have side effects for certain people, but I have not yet had any myself.  Of course with any supplement or natural medicine, do due diligence and discuss with your doctor prior to taking it, on whether it could be of benefit to you or if it might interact with any current prescription or otc drugs or supplements you are taking.

The only thing that I would like to see different in the Resveratrol Antioxidant by Neocell, is perhaps that the dosage could be increased per pill.  The daily dosage is 100mg, however you need to take 5 pills to get that amount.  Price wise it is actually an affordable supplement – for about 2 months worth of pills it costs around $30.00.

I was provided a sample product by NeoCell for the purpose of this review.  I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

One of my readers will a month’s supply of Resveratrol Anitoxidant from Neocell.
