Experience a samurai showdown as the Red Rangers go head to head in this special movie event, Power Rangers: Clash of the Red Rangers – The Movie arriving for the first time on DVD from Lionsgate Home Entertainment.  In 2013, Power Rangers will celebrate 20 years of global success as the #1 kids live action series.

When a mysterious RPM Red Ranger appears, the ultimate battle to fight off the threat of Master Xandred’s Mooger army begins.  It is action packed and loaded with high-energy entertainment.   

The Samurai Rangers team up with the mysterious RPM Red Ranger to fight off dual threats from Master Xandred’s Mooger army and a robotic villain from the RPM Ranger’s dimension.  When both Red Rangers get struck with hypnobolts they turn against one another and the fate of the world hangs in the balance.

Lionsgate sent a review copy of the Power Rangers: Clash of the Red Rangers to watch with my son, and it was a first for me.  I’ve never before watched anything like that!  My seven year old son absolutely loved it!  My guess would be that kids older than 9 or 10 probably won’t find it as appealing.  But for 6-9 year olds it’s 45 minutes full of action, saving the world from disaster, and believe it or not, even some life lessons!  

I was pleasantly surprised to see the emphasis on cooperation and working together as a team.  We talked about how the two Red Rangers were much more productive and helpful when they weren’t fighting with each other, and could work together as a team.  While there is a lot of fighting and ugliness, I found the redeeming factor was indeed the emphasis on team playing, and the humor that is also sprinkled throughout the movie.
