‘The Bears are back’ in an all-new CGI animated series Care Bears: Totally Sweet Adentures debuting on DVD from Lionsgate Home Entertainment.

The Care Bears embark on all-new exciting adventures with a fresh new look new attitude and all-new music.  These lovable Bears premiered on The Hub TV Network in June 2012 and garnered over 6 million unique views.  Re-created with CGI animation, this all-new DVD includes a share and care sing-along in addition to the four adventures.  

I haven’t watched any sort of Care Bears movie or shows in well over 25 years.  So it was interesting to sit down, with the review copy Lionsgate sent me, and watch the Care Bears: Totally Sweet Adventures with my almost 5-year old.  The look of the movies have changed, but I was surprised when I remembered the names of some of the same bears I watched when I was little.  

What I really liked about this particular DVD was that it is divided into 4 short episodes, all dealing with various issues such as jealousy, laziness, or friends moving far away.  Rather than commiting an whole hour or more, we could easily sit down and simply watch one or two episodes.  We really enjoyed hte Sing-A-Long included in the bonus features, and had some fun singing the song ourselves!  

All in all, this is an enjoyable DVD suitable for the whole family and it presented some sweet ways of dealing with friendship, caring and teamwork – all things I want my kids to learn.
