Fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays and celebrating it with long time friends here in Texas last week that also moved here from South Dakota made for a fun day.  There’s a unique feeling that you have toward a country and being patriotic when you CHOOSE to be a citizen of a country than when you’re born one.  I naturally have a place in my being for Canada seeing as that’s my country of birth, but the United States I chose to become a citizen of.  Have you heard the saying “I wasn’t born in Texas, but I got here as fast as I could”?  Yeah, that about sums it up 😉

To expound on the above paragraph, I really enjoy all things stars & stripes when it comes to showing that I’m now an American.  While Memorial Day and Fourth of July seem to bring out the red, white and blue, I don’t think patriotic style ever goes out of fashion.

State Traditions offers a unique and classic way to show American pride.  The extensive apparel and accessories line features the United States silhouette in our nation’s flag pattern.  These patriotic pieces are perfect for fireworks, BBQs, pool parties and more American fun!

State Traditions sent me a couple of pieces from their shop.  One of them is their America Traditional T-Shirt in Grey.  The shirt is 100% pre-shrunk washed cotton.  The t-shirt is soft and the sizing is spot on.  They sent me a small and it’s just roomy enough to allow for a comfortable fit, but not so large that this petite lady is swimming in it 😉

The collection offers a lot of items to show off your American pride from men’s swimwear to phone cases.  You can even get your pets in the action with dog collars!

State Traditions also kindly sent us a Texas Austin Gameday Hat in Burnt Orange.  While we’ve lived in the United States going on 15 years now, and have been citizens for nearly 4 – we’ve embraced Texas as home even though we’ve only lived here for a year.

For those of you who don’t know our daughter is going to be a freshman at a UT school in fall.  She’ll be at the Dallas campus, but when it comes to NCAA we’re going to have to start yelling “Hook ‘Em Horns” around our home.

State Traditions allows you to show your State/School Pride with their state collections.  Their gameday hats are made from 100% cotton with a classic six-panel construction slouch fit.  The state-inspired logo is embroidered on front and they’re made with an adjustable back strap with brass clasp.

State Traditions is a great site to look for patriotic apparel and accessories. And if you’re looking for offerings to show state or school pride be sure to check out the state you cheer for.

  1. We don't have a tradition of wearing anything (other than red, white and blue), BUT my little brother insists on putting on a firework show every year and I honestly look forward to it. He's almost 16 and I hope he never grows out of it!

  2. Looks like great quality items! My hubby is all about t=shirts so I'll checking them out!

  3. That shirt looks so comfortable. Your smiling face makes me smile. Congrats to your daughter in starting her college journey this fall!

  4. Good for you on supporting the local teams! I guess my allegiance lies with the schools my children have attended. I couldn't care less about NC teams. lol
