About L’Oreal Paris Cosmetics Visible Lift Blur Foundation:

My experience with L’Oreal Paris Visible Lift Blur Foundation:

First off I have to say I really like the packaging of this product.  Unlike a lot of other foundations I have used, it’s a much better delivery system in terms of the size of the hole the foundation is squeezed out of.  You’ll get just as much as you want, so you either don’t have too much to work into your skin or you won’t be wasteful by having to wash a lot of it off your brush/sponge etc..  It’s a lightweight bottle and streamlined so it’s easy to toss in a small cosmetic bag or purse for touchups.

As for the foundation itself it really does go on smooth.  When applying it I right away noticed it’s lightweight and gives a nice matte finish to your skin, and like it advertises it does even out your skin’s texture, even dry and flakey skin.  While I tend to have dry skin normally, I found this foundation didn’t exacerbate the skin’s dryness or make it worse.  Also there isn’t a strong scent with this foundation either.

I am fairly pale skinned and chose the 202 Classic Ivory pigment.  The shade coming out of the bottle concerned me at first as it looked a little dark for my fair skin.  Once I blended it in though it matched my natural skin tone pretty well.  So don’t worry too much if you think a hand swatch of the shade looks too dark.  I think though for winter I’d go with one shade lighter.  Also I found that putting on more than one layer did not ‘build up’ on the color tone, so that’s a good thing (at least not with this shade on my skin).

The staying power of the L’Oreal Paris Visible Lift Blur Foundation is good.  Even in the summer heat of Texas, I found that it lasted all day.  If you sweat a lot, you may need to reapply after wiping down, but I didn’t find it an issue with the foundation ‘melting’ off my face and 4 hours after being in the heat, it looked as good as if I had just put it on.

Overall, I found that this was a really good foundation to use.  Lines on an over 40 year old forehead were a bit tough to minimize.  As you can see from no foundation and then using two applications of it on my forehead, the lines are still pretty evident.  I’m okay with it because I usually wear my bangs on my forehead anyway.

On my face around my lips however, it actually did a good job filling in the lines and made them not as evident.

one application of Visible Lift Blur Foundation – you can still see a line right around the corner of my lips

after two applications you can barely see the line anymore

In any case I thought it evened out my skin tone without feeling heavy on my face, which I liked.

What I liked best about L’Oreal Paris Visible Lift Blur Foundation:

* Packaging – easy to dispense just the right amount
* Shades – with 12 to choose from you should find one that fits your skin tone well, summer or winter
* Matte finish – smooths uneven tones and texture
* Lightweight
* Not strongly scented

What I was disappointed about:

* Didn’t fill in lines on my forehead as well as I had hoped.

  1. I can't stand it when it feels like I am wearing foundation. A light option would be nice. Thanks for the review!

  2. I like that there are several shades to choose from and that it's matte. No need to add extra shine! I also appreciate that there's minimal scent.

  3. I like something that feels light, yet offers moderate coverage. I have trouble trying to figure out which shade is best for me, so I too like that there are many options.

  4. I need to try this. I am really picky about makeup, and I'm definitely at the age where I need lines filled in but I do not want heavy foundation.
