I have a love affair with dishes. I would switch them out every six months or so – except I would be hard pressed to get rid of the previous set and a girl only has so much shelving space. I actually still have the two sets that we received for wedding gifts 17 years ago.
I received a set of new dishes from Oneida a couple of weeks ago. I like them so much I just may be persuaded to let go of one of my original sets of dishes now.
What I love about my new Oneida Culinaria dishes is that they will bring diversity to my table and let my food stand out. Because they are they are a beige color (A La Mode), I can mix-and-match placemats and napkins seasonally. More importantly I can enhance the visual appeal of the foods I place on them, rather than have the food compete with the dishes.
The Culinaria dishes by Oneida aren’t just beautiful they truly are useful. I can’t tell you how happy it made me to find out that the bowls in the place settings held a full can of soup.
Another reason they’re desirable dishes is because they’re made from Fully Vitrified Stoneware, which means that the dishes are high-fired durable ceramic, yet they have a glass like finish. The plates are designed to be chip resistant and they have a special “finger touch grip” to fit your hand on the underside of the rim. Something my husband noticed right away on the bowls, as he moved them full of soup from the countertop to the table.
If you are on the hunt for new dishes, take a few minutes and write down what you’re really looking for. Price, durability, longevity, size, color? Culinaria offers you all those things.
A place setting of Culinaria (including a dinner plate, salad plate, bowl and mug) will run you $19.99 or $79.95 for a set of four . In my opinion this is a great deal for a set of dishes that you can mix-and-match (besides A La Mode they come in Pound Cake {a yellow color}, Blue Sage and Chili {a red color}). Since they are both dishwasher and microwave safe as well as carry a 3 year no-chip warranty, you can’t really go wrong with these.
To state it simply “Culinaria is good stuff!”
